Like other counties across the United Kingdom, Suffolk has played a very special part in this historic event. On September 11 2022, and just days after her Majesty The Queen passed away, towns and villages across Suffolk formally announced the Proclamation of the Accession of King Charles III. The county event was held on the Corn Hill in Ipswich, and after that event as 24 towns and villages across Suffolk.
