Non-illuminated banners and seasonal decorations licence

How to apply for a licence to erect non-illuminated banners or seasonal decorations on or over a public road, pavement or verge.

Applications require 10 working days notice to be processed.

Before you apply

Read through the application form to understand the current fees and conditions before applying as these fees are generally non-refundable. Suffolk County Council reviews its fees on an annual basis. 

Your application may be rejected if the proposed site is considered to be potentially dangerous to the public.

Contact Highways England on 0300 123 5000 if you want to apply for a licence on a trunk road.

Non-illuminated banners and decorations licence fee is £85.00 for the first 4 weeks and £42.50 per 4-week extension.
