Construction plant health and safety - level 3

Learners will acquire the essential skills, knowledge and understanding required to work safely on a construction site. Delivered by Suffolk New College.

This bootcamp aims to provide learners with the opportunity to acquire the essential skills, knowledge and understanding required to work safely on a construction site.

The course includes classroom based learning and practical elements on the following:

  • General health and safety in construction
  • Environmental awareness in construction
  • Temporary works safety
  • Safely marshalling plants and vehicles on a construction site.

During the course, you will have the opportunity to undertake the following industry qualifications:

  • CITB Health and Safety Awareness Training
  • Health, Safety and Environment Test
  • CITB Temporary Works Supervisor Training
  • CPCS A73 Plant and Vehicle Marshalling.

Successful completion of the above will enable you to apply for your CSCS Labourer card and CPCS Trained Operator card.

The course will be delivered 2 days per week over 6 weeks at the Suffolk Rural Campus, based in Otley.
