Healthy lifestyles and emotional wellbeing

Support with your child's health and wellbeing.

Healthy Lifestyles

A well-balanced diet is essential for children in their early years and starts with establishing good eating patterns necessary to ensure they grow and develop appropriately.

Your Health and Children's Centre team can offer you advice around healthy eating habits. They can also show you how to boost your child's relationship with food and helping to deal with the challenges that may arise. They are available to provide support in order for you to give the best opportunity for your child to grow into a healthy and confident adult.

The Healthy Living Service offers support to children, young people, and their families to help remove the barriers to achieving a healthy weight and lifestyle. This free service offers evidence- based information to support long- term healthier lifestyle goals for the whole family.

Staff are trained in the HENRY approach: Henry: Healthy Start, Brighter Future.
