Flood risk asset register

Information on the responsibility of the council as a Lead Local Flood Authority (LLFA) to create a flooding asset register.

Under Section 21 of the Flood and Water Management Act (2010), Suffolk County Council has a responsibility as the leading local flood authority (LLFA) to create and maintain an asset register containing information on all assets deemed to have significant effect on flooding in their area.

The Suffolk Flood Risk Management Strategy contains more details on the designation of assets and how they will be collected.

Currently the register is under construction, but if you require information on flooding assets or any further information regarding the flood risk asset register please contact floods@suffolk.gov.uk

If you would like to submit a structure or feature to be included on our Flood Risk Asset Register please fill in our asset collection sheet and return it to us.

Due to changes in the way we record flood risk assets and GDPR, all asset submissions after December 2024 must use the updated template (as per the link).
